Bakun and beauty of the surrounding lakes
For now, im still improving the materials in my site. i still collect the material, data, facts, interviews and traveled alone to prove that my site will bring freshness and benefits to those who like culture. ethnicity, diversity, and to theirs, looking down the Bakun lake and the beautiful panorama nature is still pure, fresh air, quite and reconcile. Far from hustle and bustle of the city.
I recommend this place to your friends or even your family. I want to tell you when I was young I never thought about the city, roads, vehicles, nor the state of the art technology. In fact, much about computers. I grew up with the atmosphere of the village and surrounded by thick forests. Really enjoyed the presence of their peers. livelihoods of the population depends on rice cultivation, hunting and fishing. Who does not know Empurau? Do the fishever feel this ... expensive .. one kilogram has reached five hundred dollars .. meaning the fish scales are also expensive .. I still remember well, there is one point, my father and I went fishing. Arrive at a rock compositions, he crawled as I pull the boat. Suddenly my father did not look, I just saw a red hat he just on the surface of the stream. I ran, apparently he was struggling with Empurau in the rivers. Quite a bit in the seven-kilogram.
This experience, as local people, lives surrounded by forests and rivers really fun. To navigate through the Bakun, long boats (speed boats are in the pipeline), tourist guides, accommodation of the Long Jawe. The people there are very friendly. In short, do not worry. Your security is assured. In fact, really fun. Enjoy your days.

What is rarely....
If we talk about capacity. In another sense from an economic standpoint and enjoyment of life. In this topic I try to bring you, ladies and gentlemen, to think in terms of equality.
In Malaysia, we look to the economic domination by the Chinese compared to other indigenous people. The difference is significant. I also think so, that the vibrancy of our economy is driven by a lot of these people. Thus, I also want to challenge the government to engage in any business.
As indigenous people, I felt no fear facing attempted. Although small in scale. Involved in promoting tourism as a place of Bakun is appropriate. As a local of people still, wrong for me to tell the world that my country has a great dam. Dams that would benefit the local community and also indirectly developing countries. This is just my small business than any other state tourism agency Sarawak,Malaysia in general.
I would like to urge the government to recognize and allow me or other people involved in helping to promote the country.

Many of the local ethnic groups live in long houses in two key settlements called Sungai Asap and Belaga. The former has about 10, 000 residents while the latter has close to 6000 households located predominantly along the river. These communities settled there when the Bakun dam first began construction in the early ‘80s.
Sungai Asap and Belaga's population is dominantly Orang Ulu ethnics. Amongst many natives of Sarawak and Belaga particularly, Kenyah is found to be the most creative and talented in their traditional cultural, craftworks, wood curving, traditional music talented, bead weaving and design, traditional sketch drawing of painting, etc. An example of Kenyah's most popular folk music is sape. The origin of sape music is from the Kenyah ethnic. Kenyah plays sape in various tones, for example Sape Tuvung (The giant sape - above video). The many tones of the sape music are closely related to the folklores, literatures and traditional hymn of the Kenyah. You can see cultural dance and folk music being practiced as daily activities in the midst of the indigenous people in their traditional way of life, belief, customary practices. Make Bakun as your first choice of destination and give you the first touch of Borneo.
